Semester 2 Opening Ceremony of Academic Year 114
The school held the opening ceremony for the second semester of the 114th academic year in the auditorium at 3:10 PM on February 24, 2026.

The ceremony began with encouraging remarks from Director Huang Ya-zhen of the Academic Affairs Office. She urged students to refocus after the holidays, regain control over their lives, set learning goals, and recalibrate their study rhythms. Quoting two lines from the Tang Dynasty poet Meng Jiao's poem After Passing the Imperial Examination: "Elated by the spring breeze, the horse gallops fast; in a single day, I have seen all the flowers of Chang'an." She expressed her hope that as students strive for progress and professional certifications, they will possess the high-spirited ambition of a galloping horse, while maintaining a sense of inner composure and belonging.

Director Cheng Li-wen of the Student Affairs Office offered her expectations for the new semester through three dimensions: law, rules, and morality. She highlighted upcoming activities such as the Civic Education BBQ, Mother's Day Family Visit, and Inter-school Volleyball Matches. She reminded students that these activities are not just for fun; they are opportunities to enhance their personal profiles, potentially shorten their time at school, and earn a chance to be seen, respected, and affirmed.

Director Chuang Feng-jung of the Counseling Office shared the progress of the counseling room renovation project supported by the E.SUN Volunteer Foundation. He emphasized that this warm and secure space for dialogue with teachers was hard-won. Throughout the semester, the office will continue to arrange sharing sessions with outstanding alumni from industries such as real estate, interior design, funeral services, and construction. He encouraged students to cherish these opportunities to connect with successful, positive role models.

Finally, Principal Tu Chih-hung addressed the student body: "Life inevitably runs aground at times. I hope that by being here at such moments, I can help students return to steady waters." He announced that a new set of fitness equipment, donated to the school, would arrive tomorrow. Physical education teachers Liu Chih-hung and Chin Kuan-ting will provide professional guidance on their scientific and expert use. The Principal also cited Alex Honnold, the American free solo climber who challenged Taipei 101. He noted that Honnold's success came from relentless practice and professional assessment of conditions, rather than impulse. This serves as a great inspiration: nothing is impossible if one is fully prepared.
