To promote sports education, enhance students' physical fitness, and discover and cultivate outstanding athletic talent, Mingyang High School hosted its first Interschool Volleyball Exchange on May 23, 2025, at 2:30 PM.

This event was generously sponsored by the Ding Shan-Li Social Welfare and Charitable Memorial Foundation of Taipei. During his opening remarks, Principal Tu Chih-Hung specially thanked Chief Wang Chih-Ming of the Ministry of Justice Agency of Corrections' Guidance and Treatment Division and Ms. Chen Hsiu-Tsu, CEO of the Foundation, for personally attending to cheer on the athletes. Their presence significantly boosted the students' sense of honor and motivated them to strive for improvement.

Due to restrictions on our students' ability to leave campus, the event specifically invited teachers and volleyball team members from Shu-Te University and Kaohsiung Municipal Kaohsiung Commercial High School to visit our school for the exchange. As this was an interschool sports exchange, scores were tallied but no rankings were assigned, allowing all players to fully showcase their skills and connect through volleyball without pressure. Furthermore, the school arranged for all teachers and students to watch the matches, with everyone acting as the best cheerleaders. Their enthusiastic cheers became a driving force for the players on the court.

Additionally, coinciding with our school's 6th "Academic Excellence Week" event held in the library, Chief Prosecutor Huang Yuan-Kuan of the Taiwan Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office also visited to show his concern for the students in custody. Accompanied by Principal Tu, he joined the volleyball players in visiting the exhibits. The students' excellent guided explanations received unanimous praise and left a deep impression on everyone present.

For this competition, special photographs were taken of the participating students. Our social workers utilized the "electronic family contact book" to upload dynamic updates and relevant photos from the event to the students' families. They also included brief messages and feedback from the students, aiming to build a bridge for parent-child communication and ensure that family bonds remain unrestricted.
