Our school and the Qiaotou Branch of the Legal Aid Foundation will jointly hold the 2025 Legal Education Promotion Lecture in our school auditorium from 14:55 to 16:30 on January 14, 2025 (Tuesday). The theme of this lecture is "Sexual Assault and The Legal Aid Foundation Qiaotou Branch invited lawyer Lin Zongyi to give a lecture on the "Prevention of Sexual Exploitation of Children and Youths". A total of 72 faculty members and 96 students participated in the lecture course, a total of 168 people.
In order to enhance students’ legal awareness of sexual assault and child sexual exploitation prevention and strengthen the legal literacy of students in detention, Attorney Lin builds students’ correct gender relations and prevention of sexual assault and child sexual exploitation through legal norms and practical introductions. Concept, expect students to stay away from crime and not test the law.
Before the lecture, Lawyer Lin first introduced the purpose of the Legal Aid Foundation and the application process, hoping that the students would pay attention to their own rights and interests if they need legal aid. After entering the lecture course, Attorney Lin did not explain the legal norms with boring and rigid legal provisions, but first explained the difference between sexual assault and sexual harassment in a lively way, so that the students could first understand the difference between the two in terms of physical boundaries. And when you are illegally infringed upon, you must have the courage to say no and refuse. When introducing the Child and Youth Sexual Exploitation Prevention Act, Attorney Lin first briefly explained to the students the relevant news events in practice and reported by the media, especially reminding them that gender equality should eliminate gender discrimination and protect others. The government also warned of the abuse of the Internet. In particular, the legal provisions for protecting children and teenagers are quite strict. Nowadays, teenagers spend a lot of time on the Internet. If they accidentally spread indecent photos of minors, , which means it has violated the law, and the current relevant penalties are quite harsh, so we must be careful.
Lawyer Lin used self-made charts and humorous expressions to help teachers and students understand today’s course.
It has a deeper impression and a deeper understanding of the legal regulations for preventing sexual assault and sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. I believe that both teachers and students gained a lot from listening to it.
