Our school held the "Drug and Drunk Driving Prevention Promotion" course in the auditorium from 14:55 to 16:40 on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, and Gao Ding was invited by the Qiaotou Branch of the Legal Aid Foundation Lawyer Chen Junjia from the law firm serves as the lecturer for this course. On this day, 83 faculty members and 93 students participated in the speech activity, a total of 176 people.
Before the lecture, Attorney Chen introduced the purpose of the Legal Aid Foundation, application qualifications and procedures, and reminded students to pay attention to their rights in legal proceedings.
After entering the course topic, in order to enhance the awareness of students and faculty members on the prevention of drugs and drunk driving, Attorney Chen first discussed relevant issues reported in the news through news scenes and practical experiences, especially drug abusers. After taking drugs, his face changed from a delicate face to a withered and withered appearance. The teachers and students who listened were surprised that drugs could be so damaging to the body and mind. Attorney Chen then introduced the relevant penalties, and from the practical and legal provisions, let the listening teachers and students understand the harm of drugs and alcohol to the body and mind. In addition, major drunk driving traffic incidents caused by alcohol not only cause self-injury, but also cause harm to many people. I hope students can sympathize with the grief of broken families and the pain of not being able to bring back their loved ones, and internalize the course content into the concepts of law-abiding and prevention, so that faculty and students participating in the course will be familiar with the legal provisions and apply them to them. As a warning, establish the safety concept of not driving after drinking and driving without drinking.
Through video viewing and legal introduction, this promotional lecture allows students to understand that drugs and alcohol not only bring harm to individuals, but also put families and society into crisis.
