29 guests, including Emeritus Professor Li Maosheng, Professor Xu Hengda, Professor Xie Yuwei of the National Taiwan University School of Law, and master's and doctoral students from the school, will be hosted by Li from 9:30 to 11:50 a.m. on January 24, 2024 (Wednesday). Professors led a visit to our school to enhance their understanding of the various businesses and current conditions of juvenile correctional schools.
The visit started with a briefing by the school's principal Tu Zhihong, who first let the visitors understand the school's educational goals and the new measures implemented by the school in recent years, such as increasing food fees, adding sports facilities, introducing foreign English teachers and corporate recruitment, etc., and also Let the visitors understand the current difficulties faced by correctional schools and the vision for future development. After President Tu's briefing, the Dean of Academic Affairs, Guidance Director and Academic Affairs Director introduced the various responsibilities of the Academic Affairs, Counseling and Academic Affairs Office one by one, so that the guests could understand the current status of the school's business execution through the briefing.
After the briefing, Principal Tu and the team leaders of various departments of the school accompanied the guests to visit the campus, and introduced the school's teaching software and hardware facilities, students' daily routines, classroom space utilization, teaching course arrangements, student class configuration, student dining and dormitory environment, Visiting space and management methods, etc. Through on-site visits, explanations and questions and answers, guests can have a deeper understanding of the direction and management measures of juvenile correctional schools.
After the campus tour, the guests returned to the conference room for a discussion. Through on-site questions and detailed answers from Principal Tu and the heads of various departments, the guests were able to answer any questions they had about students' education in the school and school operations. Further clarification will be provided to provide teachers and students of the college with more detailed information on issues such as criminal policy, punishment and correctional treatment, hardware and software facilities and resource allocation, and student living situations.
